Welcome back Kathy and Marc Greenleaf

Welcome back Wednesday to Kathy and Mark Greenleaf! This is Kathy's seventh time and Mark's second. Mark was happy to be finally be able to return as he says "everyone who comes here should return". What was very special about this trip is they brought along their sons from America to join the program and experience what has become a great passion for Kathy. Its been elephantastic having you all here and we hope to see you all again soon! Thanks for looking after Rosukon, Rasamee Jumpee and Oijai!

Welcome back to Howard!

"My third visit to Elephantstay and had a wonderful day. My daughter Milly's first visit. She loved it as much as I. Was great to see Jumpee looking so well. Unfortunately, Ewa and Michelle weren't at home during our visit, but Lexi took fantastic care of us and made sure we both had a very fun and memorable day" Thank you for looking after Jumpee again and see you next time!

Visakha Bucha Day

Tuesday May 29 was Visakha Bucha Day. One of the most important Buddhist holidays. Monks came and brought a big truckload of pineapples for the elephants. Many people made merit. You can see them all holding pineapples for the elephants while they prayed. #makingmerit#spiritualbeliefs

Welcome back to Sharon

Welcome back to Sharon! Sharon came 10 years ago and the last thing she said when she was getting in the car to leave was I will be back. Her advice is don't leave it for 10 years! Sharon cared for Pisamy the first time who has since passed, but she is loving caring for Rasamee.

Farewell Belynda

Today we say goodbye to our sweet Belynda. She could not go any longer. We brought her home from the vets in February with 3 days of medication as she was not expected to last much more than that. We were hoping she would last to April but did not expect she would still be with us till now. Belynday was a cat with the sweetest temperament. She would not hurt a fly. It is hard to believe she had a son like Munchie, they could not be more different from each other. Over the last 6 months we have been bringing her into our house at night to watch some TV with us. She would sit on my lap for hours so content. RIP Belynda.

Gill Appleyard about Elephantstay

Elephantstay was recommended to me in 2013 by a friend who has visited the place on numerous occasions. I decided to come for a 3 day stay in 2013, and totally fell in love with the place and am now on my 4th visit. The love, care and concern that the elephants are shown is truly amazing. Everyone from management,  to the housekeepers and mahouts show a lot of concern and care for their guests and truely make sure that you have a wonderful experience. Everything about Elephantstay is beyond fantastic and I would recommend that if you have the opportunity to come and stay, book a flight now! It is a once in life time experience.

Samantha about Jintara

Jintara is most recognizable by her unique ice blue eyes, and huge noggin”….built for holding that oversize, extra clever brain of hers, of course.
She’s most likely to be found munching on food, squeaking to be passed food, grumbling for more food, or stealing Rosukon”s food – Gen Y have no respect for their elders, plus, it’s hard work being such a smart cookie and knowing so many tricks.

The few minutes of the day when she’s not preoccupied by food, she’s nor-so-sneakily trying to undo her chain, or a friend’s. Come to think of it…..that’s probably another tactic to get more food!
