Today is National Elephant Day, this morning there was a huge feast of fruit and veg for the elephants with all different TV stations filming the event.
To honor this gentle yet
powerful animal the Thai National Elephant Day was proposed on 13
March. The National Thai Elephant Day or Chang Thai Day helps to draw
people's attention to see how important elephants are to Thailand and to
show closely the relationship between Thai people and elephants.
Moreover, this event also raises public awareness to protect and
conserve the elephant population for our next generations.
