RIP Plai MongKonAiyarat

On January 17th we woke to find that Plai MongKon was sick. He was moved into the wash bay to give him some stability and to be treated. One of the top vets in Thailand, Dr Chitsanu, came to examine him and diagnosed a gastric ulcer. After 3 long days of intensive round the clock treatment he succumbed to his aggressive illness and died in the early hours of Monday morning. He was a magnificent and very striking bull elephant, who will be greatly missed.
